My watercolours explore a variety of subjects, each piece with a history or story imagined giving life and character to the face it represents. I’m drawn to historical figures, capturing the spirit of a powerful woman from the Bible or the pain etched on the face of Jesus. 

Commissions offer a chance to celebrate personal moments, like a family commemorating a 100th birthday, or a moment in the stage of a precious baby’s development. But my work isn’t limited to portraits. Sometimes inspiration strikes in unexpected ways, like a stranger’s simple question sparking a portrait, or a girl emerging from a doodle with a serenity all of her own. This collection reflects my artistic journey, fuelled by workshops like the one with Patricia Guzman, and a constant desire to explore the stories hidden within each subject. Whatever it is, it moves me to try to catch it – the essence of who they are.
