“I’m Curious, Why Me” was a finalist in the SAA’s Artist of the Year 2023 competition. It was subsequently exhibited at Espacio Gallery London. The title was inspired by what the subject said to me when I expressed a wish to paint her portrait. I wanted to portray what I saw in her; a sculptured look, strength of character, independence, intelligence and confidence.
